Corals on Keppel Bays

Featured in the World Landscape Architecture website, the new recently finished Corals on Keppel Bay showsuite.

Out in the southern harbour the new Corals on Keppel Bay showsuite landscape conceived by Mark Laririt and Simon Morrison, uses local history to create a design narrative in the new temporary garden for the marketing suite. The landscape is a metaphor for coastal change; soft ethereal planting juxtaposed with grounded harbour ‘stones’. Pathways eddy around these ‘stone’ blocks implying tidal water and referencing the history of people, ships and trade. The central shaded avenue draws people into the site and main entrance, before the wavy coastal grasses spread out as a foreground to the expansive stretch of sea and sky.
