KL 100

Part of an international competition a new vision was sought for the emerging world class skyscraper development amongst Kuala Lumpur’s wealthy and leafy Istana Negara district. Next to the famous Merdeka Stadium, birthplace of the nation a major new park was planned for this unique precinct in the Malaysian capital.

ICN developed a remarkable concept winning a final place in the design contest with the vision for a national plaza to celebrate the nations past, provide a venue for events, exhibitions and concerts and a social gathering and relaxation park. Complete with a grand canopy stretching the entire half kilometre site length, the thirteen strands of the structure represented the united states of the nation, crafting together and covering this stylish outstanding urban design space for multiple uses, multiple people and multiple events.
