Born out of a previously abandoned development site on Sinai Peninsula’s Sharm el Sheikh the development site was totally re-planned using landscape to form, organize and complement the new aspirations of a six hundred room Resort complex and coastal facilities. The site enjoys a stunning location overlooking the Red Sea, set high on the coral-limestone cliffs. Beachfront access and environmental standards were major considerations.
ICN planned and designed landscape areas, routes and beach zones so that no shoreline work had any impact on the highly valuable coral shelf. Nestling an amphitheatre and one hundred and twenty metre swimming pool within the land formation provided a dramatic outlook from above. Our master-plan formed three separate enclaves with easy access to the beautiful central facilities. Lining each side of this spine are activity zones for retail and recreation with linear gardens flanked with arid palms and ornamental grasses.
