NATURE DISCOVERY- MOUNT IMBIAH

Sentosa’s Nature Discovery experience was conceived from our wider eco-tourism feasibility study. The island has surprising natural assets, rainforest hills and coastal foreshores home to rich wild-life flora and fauna. Mt Imbiah the highest hill on the island is a diverse and attractive eco-system worthy of appropriate exploration and appreciation.

ICN developed Nature Discovery as a series of explorer trails and experiences, re-creating a forest journey. For people to engage with this regenerated tropical forest and learn of its character, growth and change.  An abandoned monorail station was refurbished to become the discovery centre and the old monorail track was transformed into an elevated boardwalk reaching right into the forest canopy. Trails through Mt Imbiah cross streams, elevated boardwalks extend through gullies of dense trailing jungle. These lead to clearings and hilltop lookout towers for adventure play and learning.  People young and old are engaged in learning the secrets of the tropical forest through this fascinating portal to a mysterious sylvan world.
